Random Thoughts from Aimee
Some random tidbits, thoughts and other useless things.

06.18.04 - Times a flyin' and we're still having fun....
We just spent a couple of days in Myrtle Beach soaking up the sun and taking a moment for some greatly needed relaxation. Things have been nuts lately. I guess sometimes when you're in the middle of everything, you don't actually realize how completely insane things are. I didn't mention this the last time, but Tyson and I purchased our first house last week. We saw it on Tuesday, made an offer on Thursday and signed for it on Friday. I had no idea that it would happen that quickly when it happened. It's exciting though and I think it will be really great. It's close to the arboretum and there are lots of beautiful trees in the yard. It's not our dream house, but it's going to be a really nice house to start out in. I'm really looking forward to not having white walls and finally being able to surround us with beautifully colored walls and lots AND lots of flower gardens.

So now it's back to reality and the craziness of my life. At least I feel more like myself again and ready to conquer all of the things ahead.

Bright summer days ahead...

ps... if you ever need a special present for someone small, go to the build-a-bear place. It was so cool and we had a great time building "Nawakwa Sparks".

It's officially summer and things are crazy! Tonight we experienced this great monsoon of a storm. The flowers are lovin' it! This weekend there is an art show at The Growing Place in Naperville. I'm frantically preparing as usual. Time just isn't on my side lately, but the nice thing is some of the major wedding projects are wrapping up and all of the little projects are consuming my time. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Enjoy the sun and the rain and whatever the next month brings.

Oh, how the time is flying by. I'm not sure what my problem is lately, but I keep forgetting what month it is or day, for that matter. It's just crazy. The other day I thought I had forgotten to feed my friend's cats. Monday morning in the car, I broke out in cold sweat thinking that I had forgotten. As I was getting ready to rush over to them as fast as possible, I keep thinking how I was possibly going to tell my very good friend who feeds my cat, emma that I just forgot. It turns out that I didn't forget, my friend is still my friend (now laughing hysterically) and I have to feed them this weekend. Thank God for my calendar. In a way, it's a great little tool. On the flip side when I look at it and see how many days are filling up, I really just want to throw it out the window and see how it flies.

We're in the midst of making lots of wedding plans right now. It's funny how we spend so much time on one day. We keep wondering what the heck we're going to do when we're not cutting out pictures for pop bottles (you'll see!) or meeting with cake ladies. We can't wait though. Now that all of the details are starting to come together, we're really getting excited. It's going to be so much fun to have so many of our friends and family in one of my most favorite spots in the world (Marcellus, MI). Get ready - We're having CRAB LEGS! (and other things too).
