green babies

One of the decisions that I made when I had babies was to use cloth diapers. Most people thought I was crazy, but I liked the idea of spending $700 instead of $2500-3000 per kid on diapers. I also liked that they were much healthier for them and that we weren’t creating an additional 4000 lbs of landfill waste.

I did a bunch of research online and then went to a class at a store downtown called Be By Baby. I was completely overwhelmed by all of the options, but then opted to go with a brand called Fuzzi Bunz. I got most of them from a store out east called Jillian’s Drawers. Melissa, the owner is just awesome and started her business at home when her daughter was little. I’ve ordered tons of stuff from the site. Anytime I’ve had a issue, I just call or email them and they are always extremely helpful.

Right after Gavin was born, I put together a little packet of information about my experience with cloth. If you’re interested, please contact me and I would be happy to send it to you.
